Sewing THE Bag

One of my favorite things to do is to sew!  I love to find new quilt patterns and make new items for family and friends.  I just love the act of creating something out of nothing.  The act of cutting fabric, ironing and then piecing the fabric and finally sewing the little pieces in a specific way so that you end up with an item completely unique, colorful…different is a special one.  To be completely honest, I don’t have time to be “in my head” while I’m sewing.  I only have eyes and brain cells for the task, the project!

When I got my sewing machine back from the sewing machine doc (for the second time in two weeks) I left it alone for a couple more days.  When I finally decided to pull out a pattern and make a Boho bag, I was so excited.   The Boho bag turned out to be soooo cute and I thought, “What if I decided to cut it down to little girl size”. I cut it down and  I think they are the perfect size for your itty bitty sweethearts.  They are roomy enough for a favorite little doll, a water bottle, snacks and a souvenir or two.

The. bags for adults are approximately. 18.5″ wide and 13″ tall (not counting the length of the straps) and are $40.00. Boho bags for little sweethearts measure approximately. 13″ wide and 19″ from the bottom of the bag to the top of the strap.  These bags are $30.00. If you wish to have one of your very own, contact me at onjoyroad@gmail. com or bundlesofjoybylaura@gmail.com.  We will discuss fabric, colors, etc. before I even begin to make a bag for you!!

I’ve had a blasty blast making these bags.   I look. forward to talking with you about making a bag just for you!!
