About

“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.” James 1:2, 3

James, an Apostle of Christ, expressed his belief that we are to be joyful even when we are beset by trials/problems. Apparently, we learn to have patience when our faith is tested.

Say, what? I don’t know about you but I don’t automatically feel joyful when things in my life go awry! In fact, I tend to become just a little bit grumpy and fuss-budgety! Be that as it may, I do know that my faith becomes stronger when I trust God to help me through troubled times.

It is for that very reason I named this blog “On Joy Road”. While going through my typical, usually unremarkable days, I will look for and share with you the joys that I encounter! You can expect a little bit of poetry, a few quotes from time to time, snippets of conversations, observations, rants (very few of these), photos that make me happy and updates on gardening, beekeeping, painting and other projects! Wherever I am, you are invited to be!

Walk with me, arm in arm, On Joy Road.
